Supplementary information

Sunday 20th May to Friday 1st June
BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are planning to carry out essential resurfacing works on the A83 trunk road, to the South of Clachan.
Works will commence on 20th May 2018 for 10 nights, Sunday night to Thursday night each week. It is anticipated that the work will be completed by 1st June 2018.

In an effort to minimise disruption to motorists and the local community using the A83, it is proposed that the resurfacing be undertaken overnight, between the hours of 9pm and 7am each night.
Outwith these working hours traffic management will be removed, however a temporary 30mph speed limit will remain in place, as traffic will be travelling over a temporary surface.
Due to restricted available road widths within this section of the A83 the road will be closed over the extents of the work, in both directions each night during the above dates and times.
Traffic will be allowed through the site during amnesties at 10pm, 12am, 2am and 4am to minimise disruption. Emergency services will be able to pass through the works at all times.
