A85 Dunbeg to Connel, Safety Barrier Installation

BEAR Scotland, on behalf of Transport Scotland, will be undertaking road safety improvement works to a 1900m length of existing carriageway on the A85 Trunk road north of the Halfway Filling Station, Dunbeg with works commencing on Monday 22 October.
The scheme will improve safety for road users by the installation of new sections of vehicle safety barrier, as well as extending and replacing existing sections of barrier to better protect drivers from potential roadside hazards.
Works are programmed to commence on Monday 22 October and are anticipated to last for up to 3 weeks. These works will be carried out between the hours of 7am and 7pm each day, including weekends in order to minimise the total duration of the works.
To ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public, the road will be under a single lane traffic management system controlled by temporary traffic lights with a 30mph temporary speed restriction.
The works have been planned to minimise disruption to both the travelling public and residents in the area and access to all properties will be maintained at all times throughout these works. BEAR Scotland and Transport Scotland would like to take this opportunity to thank the local community for their patience whilst these essential works are undertaken.

Sunday 25th to Thursday 29th November 2018

BEAR Scotland, acting on behalf of Transport Scotland, are proposing to carry out essential carriageway maintenance works on the A82 Trunk Road, approximately five miles north of Spean Bridge. The resurfacing works are provisionally programmed for construction from the 25th to 29th November 2018, between the hours of 7pm to 6am each night.

The carriageway will be subject to a road closure due to the restricted road width within this section to ensure the safety of the workforce and members of the travelling public.
